Thank you for your interest in our classes.  We always enjoy introducing beginners to the craft as well as help more experienced glass workers master a new skill.  As classes generally fill quickly, tuition must be paid to hold your place in the class.  If we do not reach a minimum number of students, we may cancel the class.  Refunds will be made only if we cancel the class.  Please plan your schedule so that you can attend all of the classes as we set aside our time and studio to make your class a fun and relaxing experience.  

Lead

Learn the fundamentals of stained glass!  In this class, you will learn to cut glass and complete a leaded glass panel.  Some homework may be required.  You may use our grinders and soldering irons.  

        Class Length: 2 Sessions

        Fee: $275 including class tool kit (materials purchased separately)

        Day & Time:   Saturday from 10am-4pm (1/2 hour lunch on your own)

        Date:  To be announced

        Prior to class, you MUST decide upon a pattern from those provided

          and select and purchase your glass.

        Bring:    class kit,  glass, and safety glasses

          (glasses available for purchase at time of class)

Basic Cutting

You will learn how to cut glass using the English method and how to use some of the various tools.

        Class Length: 1 Session

        Fee: $30

        Day & Time:  Saturday from 10-11:30 am

GFC Fusing Intro

Prepare your own piece to be fused from precut pieces, frit, and accessory items.  This is a great way to see if fusing is for you.   Open anytime during store hours.  Let your imagination do the rest! 

        Fee: each piece priced separately based on size and materials used

        Time: anytime during regular business hours… please call to make sure we have work space available!

Monthly Fusing Project Class

This is a once a month, one evening class.  No glass experience required, so just come and play with us!  Check out our demo piece(s) to see what the next great class will cover.

          Class Length: 1 Session

        Fee:  fee varies depending on project and materials… check with us for

          the current project and cost

        Time:   7-9pm

Intermediate Fusing

Learn glass fusing techniques using the hot box kiln.  You will fire 2 4”x4” projects.  There are some patterns available or you can design your own.  **Cutting is required during class.

        Class Length: 2 Sessions

        Fee: $75

        Time:  7-9pm

        Date: To be announced

        Prerequisite: Basic Cutting (If necessary, we will schedule a

          separate cutting class before fusing.)

        Bring:   glass cutter, grozier pliers, marker and safety glasses

Fusing: Plates

You will create your own plate, starting with a circle blank and designing it from there.  You will learn about applying fired on decals, gold and platinum paints.  Molds and some glass included in the fee.  Size and shape of mold may vary class to class based on availability.

        Class Length: 2 Sessions

        Fee: $150

        Time:  7-9pm

        Date: To be announced

        Prerequisite: Basic Cutting, Intermediate Fusing

        Bring:   glass cutter, grozier pliers, marker, and safety glasses.  Also, any

          90 COE Bullseye glass you might want to use, but you must be certain it is

          tested compatible for fusing (very important!).
